With this painting, and its sister piece "Orange and Blue," I wanted to showcase how even the most simple subjects are worthy intense focus. The more I studied the colors and shapes of this pear and cloth, the more I became enamored with its beauty and the feelings that can be evoked from simple items. I hope it does the same for you.
